We are the NewsGuild of Greater Philadelphia – Local 38010 of the Communications Workers of America, AFL-CIO, CLC.
We represent a wide variety of newspaper employees – reporters, photographers, artists, editors, accountants, internal auditors, administrators, support staff and advertising sales and circulation customer service representatives. They work at The Philadelphia Inquirer, Delaware County Times, Pottstown Mercury and Norristown Times Herald, and The Trentonian, The News Journal of Wilmington, and Delaware weekly reporters.
We also represent employees at PHILAPOSH, an agency dedicated to fighting for health and safety on the job, and AccessMatters a women’s Reproductive Rights non profit in Philadelphia, and employees at Planned Parenthood Advocates and PAC based in Harrisburg, P.A.
We represent employees at The Restaurant Opportunities Center, ROC in Philadelphia, New York, Washington, New Orleans, Miami, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Oakland. One Fair Wage Organizers around the country, fighting to get tipped workers in all industries, paid $15 minimum wage through ballot initiatives in all 50 states. Union staff at Temple Association of University Professionals.
We represent Associate Members who are on air radio hosts, and retired journalists.
