We are the NewsGuild of Greater Philadelphia – Local 38010 of the Communications Workers of America, AFL-CIO.
We represent a wide variety of newspaper and new media employees – reporters, photographers, artists, editors, accountants, internal auditors, administrators, support staff and advertising sales, circulation employees, Product, Design, and Engineering employees. They work at The Philadelphia Inquirer, Delaware County Times, Pottstown Mercury, Norristown Times Herald, The Trentonian, The News Journal of Wilmington, Delaware weekly reporters, Spotlight PA, and Always Lancaster.
We also represent employees at AccessMatters a Reproductive Rights non- profit in Philadelphia.
Union staff at Temple Association of University Professionals, and United Academics of Philadelphia, organizers and staff with Workers United International Union SEIU, Pennsylvania Joint Board Representatives, and organizers SEIU, NY-NJ Regional Joint Board, SEIU workplace organizers, external organizers, and staff, Attorney’s, Paralegals, and support staff at Justice at Work in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.
We represent Associate Members who are on air radio hosts, and retired journalists.
