WELCOME

We are the Newspaper Guild of Greater Philadelphia - Local 38010 of the Newspaper Guild-Communications Workers of America, AFL-CIO, CLC.

We represent a wide variety of newspaper employees - reporters, photographers, artists, editors, accountants, internal auditors, administrators, support staff and advertising sales and circulation customer service representatives. They work at The Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Daily News, Delaware County Times, Pottstown Mercury and Norristown Times Herald. We also represent employees and PHILAPOSH, an agency dedicated to fighting for health and safety on the job.

We work hard to help our employers to earn a fair profit. But we push pack when they let short-term thinking and desire for excessive profits cause them to make cuts that weaken our newspapers long-term health and rob our members of compensation and benefits they have earned. We resolve disputes and solve problems in the workplace more efficiently than management could do on its own.

We're working to get a fair shake for our members -- and for the communities we serve.

We welcome your questions and comments.
